NCTC will not be offering dance classes during the 2010-2011 season. Please check back for future plans!

All classes can be taken more than once as teachers will adjust activities to challenge both new and returning students.

BEGINNING DANCE I: LET’S DANCE
This combination jazz, tap, and ballet class will introduce young children to dance and performance, while they also gain social skills and develop self-confidence. Classes will conclude with a Share Day performance for family and friends. Session at 11:00 a.m. offered at NCTC in conjunction with the Newington Parks & Recreation Department.
Ages:  3 – 5
Day/Time:  Saturdays, 10 to 10:45 am (45 minutes) / Saturdays, 11 to 11:45 am (45 minutes)
Duration:  8 weeks
Class Size:  5 (min.) to 10 (max.)
Cost per term:  $95

BEGINNING DANCE II: DANCING STARS
Join in a fun-filled class to learn the basics of jazz, tap, and ballet used in musical theatre. This class is for the child to develop the basic elements of dance while working on the stage presence and confidence which are so important to any future performer. Classes will conclude with a Share Day performance for family and friends.
Ages:  5 – 8
Day/Time:  Wednesdays, 4:30 to 5:30 pm (1 hour)
Duration:  8 weeks
Class Size:  5 (min.) to 10 (max.)
Cost per term:  $125

DANCE CLASS DRESS CODES: All students must be properly dressed for each class they are enrolled in. Blue jeans, cargo pants, or street wear clothing will not be permitted. For Combination classes, girls should wear leotard and tights with designated shoes. Dance shorts or dance sweater or short hoodie may be worn over leotard. Boys should wear appropriate attire with black or dark dance shoes. All hair should be worn away from the face. No jewelry please.
