NCTC is the home of Newington Children's Theatre Company—where kids and creativity meet!

From a single musical in 1963, to a full range of theatrical, dance, and musical programs today, NCTC offers something for every age and imagination from preschool through college!

The NCTC Touring Company is the only one of its kind in Connecticut, giving its young cast the opportunity each year to tour a fully-staged musical to audiences throughout the state. NCTC's Summer Theatre Programs for ages eight to fourteen have grown and increased in popularity since their debut in 2004. Creative Play classes keep our preschoolers active and entertained. In Beginning Drama, our grade schoolers learn and develop new skills. Fall and Spring Productions let older students put those skills into practice. And our Broadway Show Choir teaches voice and stage presence using the hottest Broadway tunes.

New this season are dance classes specially structured for NCTC by a dance instructor with thirty-five years experience and certification by Dance Masters of America! Little ones can burn their energy in Let’s Dance. Jazz, tap and ballet basics will turn young ones into Dancing Stars. And older students can polish their dance skills in Broadway’s Best.

Whether your young one is just three, or you're going on twenty-three, there's sure to be something for you at NCTC! New classes, new productions, and new events continue to carry out our mission and bring the arts to hundreds of participants and thousands of families throughout Connecticut each year!
