Our story started in January 1959 at 2143 Berlin Tpke.  Fred Callahan Jr. and his wife Loretta decided to build a bowling center on their Family farm.  They worked very hard to build up their business with the help of their two sons Fred III and Rip.   They built Bowl-O-Rama into a family owned and operated business. Bowl-O-Rama is currently in its 64th year and on the fourth generation led by Lisa, Cindy, Amber and John Francis. 
 

Bowl-O-Rama features a 40 lane bowling center with state of the art scoring, a newly renovated bar with big screen TVs featuring karaoke every Friday night and local bands once a month.  You’ll also find Callahan’s Pro Shop with all the newest bowling equipment available.  Lastly, stop in to Bubba’s Grille, the home of the Bubba Burger.

Bowl-O-Rama continues to be a staple in the Newington community and a big supporter of the town, local business and events.

Tabletop Gaming Center is a full-service hobby and game store. They

sell many different tabletop games from the Pokémon Trading Card Game to Dungeons and Dragons. They also have a vast selection of board games that are great for people of all ages. Tabletop Gaming Center is located just a few minutes away from Newington Center on 741 New Britain Ave. They have worked extensively with providing programs for children that are not only fun but get them learning through different types of tabletop games. These programs have been anything from hosting board game par!es at the Newington Library to running learn to play D&D events for summer camps. The importance of education and family are at the core of their values and they work hard to support programs that help children grow and learn.
