Into the Woods Jr, July 2016 

SUMMER STAGES

Get on stage this summer with NCTC! Learn/hone your theatrical skills in these one or two-week sessions! All rehearsals will take place at NCTC located at 136 Day Street in Newington. Performances will take place TBD. Early drop-off and late pick-up available. No experience necessary. Registration required. $100 nonrefundable deposit required to complete each registration.

The balance is due by June 1, 2023.

Registrations submitted after June 1 will require full payment to complete registration.

First Stage: Jack and the Beanstalk

Ages 5-8: JUNE 26-30
M-F: 8:30am-12pm OR 12:30-3:30pm
Participation Fee: $200

Every day, Jack would help his mother with the chores - chopping the wood, weeding the garden and milking the cow.  But despite all their hard work, Jack and his mother were very poor with barely enough money to keep themselves fed. See what happens when Jack sells his beloved cow for three measly beans that unknowingly held infinite magical powers!
Disney's High School Musical Jr

Ages 8 & Up: JUNE 26-JULY 7

It’s the first day after winter break at East High. The Jocks, Brainiacs, Thespians and Skater Dudes all find their cliques. Basketball team captain and resident jock, Troy, discovers that the brainy Gabriella, a girl he met singing karaoke on his ski trip, has just enrolled at East High. The couple cause an upheaval when they decide to audition for the high school musical. Although many students resent the threat posed to the "status quo," Troy and Gabriella’s alliance might just open the door for others to shine as well.

More than anything, the king and queen longed for a child.  At last, to their great happiness, the Queen gave birth to a little girl. But on her 16th birthday, she would prick her finger on a spinning wheel and fall asleep for 100 years. Watch as three fairies try everything to wake her from sweet singing to obnoxious foghorns. What will it take to wake the sleeping princess?
The Great American Talent Show

Ages 8 & Up: July 24-28,
M-F, 9am-3pm

Here’s a great NON-MUSICAL parody of American Idol, America’s Got Talent, and all TV talent shows.  It’s the final night of the yearlong TV talent show to end all talent shows.  Our finalists anxiously await their final shot at fame and fortune.  Three self-important judges — including the token brutally honest Brit character — cajole or praise each contestant in hilarious ways.  Who will win the tournament
of champions?

When the street urchin, Aladdin, vies for the attention of the beautiful princess, Jasmine, he uses a genie's magic power to become a prince in order to marry her.  Iago, Jafar, the Genie, and more are here in Disney’s Aladdin KIDS, a musical adventure filled with magic, mayhem and the power of love. Specific to Disney’s Aladdin KIDS are the Djinn, a group of unique stage magicians who execute the magical moments of the show.
Little Shop of Horrors

Ages 13 & Up: July 24-August 5

10am, 2pm and 7pm

The meek floral assistant Seymour Krelborn stumbles across a new breed of plant he names "Audrey II" - after his coworker crush. This foul-mouthed, R&B-singing carnivore promises unending fame and fortune to the down and out Krelborn as long as he keeps feeding it, BLOOD. Over time, though, Seymour discovers Audrey II's out of this world origins and intent towards global domination!
